In a world of plastic I say give me metal. Resin is just a fancy way of saying plastic. People like the modern look of resin framed pools, that it stays cooler than metal, that the color runs all the way through plastic/ resin framing. While prefer the strength of metal.
What people don’t realize is the top rail of the pool is supported just above the pool-wall by posts about every four feet. If the plastic/resin top rail or plastic posts were to flex under weight, then the top rail would come in contact with the top of the pool wall, it can actually bend the top of the pool wall.
Lets face it, we have a lot of fat kids out there nowadays (get them a pool). And you can tell children not to walk, sit, or step on the top rails, but unless you have a deck built over the top rail, they are likely not going to remember you said to stay off!
Dauntless Pool Framing
The Dauntless is an all aluminum/metal pool where it matters. It has some plastic joiners, hardware covers and wall track, but for all intense and purposes, it is an aluminum /metal pool. The top rails and posts are extruded aluminum, the wall is corrugated aluminum.
If you didn’t know, when you extrude aluminum with lots of bends, it makes the piece 10-20x more rigid. Good luck getting extruded metal to bend or flex!
When you look at our pool framing posts and top rails on the Dauntless, it looks like you can see the wall through the framing, but that’s an illusion created by accent feature strips. Our manufacture actually cuts pieces of wall into matching feature strips that are later slid into channels in top rails and posts.
No other manufacturer is spending money on this kind of tooling, machining, and labor to build such an elegant, well designed above ground pool.
Faming Color Options
All framing (posts and top rails) are available in white or gray with matching feature strips based on the wall you choose.
Dauntless Wall Options
If you look at the picture at the very top of this page you will see the walls are corrugated for strength, these tiny micro bends make the wall much more rigged. You can see the feature strips as well. All three walls look great with the white framing and the gray look good with gray framing.
Oval Dauntless & Available Sizes
This pool is available in round and oval, The oval have straight side wall supports called buttresses (see images). Oval sizes are: 12x18x52, 12x24x52, 15x24x52, 15x30x52 and 18x33x52.
Round Sizes:
12×52, 15×52, 18×52, 21×52, 24×52, 27×52, and 30×52.
Deck & Fence Options
Because of the metal framing it can support our prefab decks and fences. If you look close you will see these decks are part of the pool construction, they are part of the top rail. Absolutely nobody is doing this anymore.
You could spend 8-20k on a custom wood deck, last time I priced pressure treated wood, that’s just lumber used for framing, it cost more than the expensive Trex deck boards. *True Story!
Plus all these decks come with a candy cane ladder seen in the photo near the red blow up shark, a self closing, self latching gate with a lock, and stairs with handrails. Not to mention they are all aluminum welded at the factory.
Fence
The Dauntless pool is also available with just fence, without a deck. Our fence is plastic with an aluminum core, all other above ground pool fence is just plastic. Want to keep your beach ball in the pool? Add a fence.
