Atlas Pool Wall Options
All our Steel walls are made of American US-Steel, G90 hot-dipped, then painted, and then corrugated for extra strength. The highest grade steel you can buy designed to last a lifetime.
Pro-tip: Once these walls are coated and treated and loved up by “wall suppliers”, the factory punches holes in the wall for the return and the skimmer plumbing. This leaves untreated raw metal edges at the holes.
This is why you see a lot of rust on pools around the skimmer and return holes. We provide a butterfly gasket with every pool for the skimmer and return, so chlorinated water never touches your pool wall.
I hope my level of knowledge, understanding, and caring about this industry comes through, so you know I’m not here just for a quick money grab. Aluminum Pool Wall Options With The Atlas
We also offer three aluminum pool wall options. If you have read much of my reviews or seen any videos on Youtube.com/mgkpools, you probably know I am a huge fan of aluminum pool walls.
It just that over my 30+ year career, I’ve seen aluminum pools last the longest. I worked on above ground pools from before my time, and they were all aluminum. We offer this upgrade at near cost too. I don’t believe there is a better wall in this class of above ground pool, class= rolled wall pools. It’s no wonder these are so popular, and that I sell them out of stock every year at least once!
Atlas Framing & Hardware
The Atlas resin toprails are about ten inches wide, they are very robust and come in four colors: Gray, Light Brown, White and now Charcoal to match all the walls we offer. These are all made in the factory, another case of over engineering for strength, these will never crack, chip or dent. The color runs all the way through and they stay cooler in the hot summer sun. I am not saying i want to touch them in Arizona, but its better than steel.
Of course the posts are made of the same durable resin as the top rails, all the hardware is high-grade stainless steel, or number 8 galvanized for the buttress free ovals. The steel hardware that supports the straight side walls is thicker than your pointer finger.
Atlas Above Ground Ovals
Did you know that the invention of the arch enabled engineering of second floor buildings back in the day? The reason I bring that up, is our ovals are not perfectly oval, they are more peanut shaped. Round ends of course, but with arches along the straight sides, creating more strength and a stronger design. If you look closely at the picture at the top, you will see our straight walls are not so straight. From the outside they have a modern attractive shape with no buttresses (straight wall support kickstands).

Do aluminum above ground pools last longer than steel pools?
Yes, steel rusts a lot faster than aluminum oxidizes.
Can I add a heater?
Yes you can add a heater or heat pump to any above ground swimming pool
Can I add a Salt System?
While you can add one to any pool Chlorine generators / aka salt systems will void the 30 year warranty offered by Aquasport Pools LLC as it is corrosive towards metal, and better suited for soft side pools, fiberglass or concrete.
If salt is corrosive, why do other pool stores sell salt water pools?
Because they don’t care about you, they care about sales! What most people don’t realize is that the warranty that is 50-60 years or even “lifetime” covers just manufacturers defects, and the wall portion of the warranty is prorated 50% after just two years. That means after just 2 years you could be on the hook for half the cost of the wall, a new pool liner, taking apart the old pool and basically rebuilding a new one. Aquasports Pools could have easily joined the salt water bandwagon, but chose to lose sale rather than compromise their integrity.
What do you recommend instead of salt?
